Madhya Pradesh Weather: Cold winds have increased the effect of cold in Madhya Pradesh. Dense fog prevailed in most districts including Bhopal, Indore on Friday. Cold winds kept blowing from the sky throughout the day, due to which the mercury dropped rapidly. Night temperature went below 12 degrees in 26 districts including Bhopal. Minimum visibility in Gwalior was 0 meters and 50 meters at Rewa Airport. The highest maximum temperature was recorded at 30.1 degrees in Khandwa and the lowest temperature was recorded at 7.6 degrees in Naugaon. The day temperature in Prithvipur was 14.5 degrees, making it the coldest day in the state. Bhopal’s maximum temperature was recorded at 23.4 degrees and minimum at 10.4 degrees.
Rain and cold increased trouble
In the last 24 hours, it rained in some districts of Indore, Ujjain and Chambal division. People were seen battling a cold day in Rajgarh, Guna and Shivpuri, while cold made the day more bitter in Khajuraho, Chhatarpur, Naugaon, Tikamgarh and Niwari. Day temperatures dropped in Bhopal, Gwalior and Sagar divisions, while mercury rose slightly in districts of Rewa division. Khandwa recorded a maximum temperature of 30.1 degrees and Naugaon a minimum of 7.6 degrees. Gwalior recorded a maximum temperature of 20.3 degrees and a minimum of 8.1 degrees.
New western disturbance and holiday in schools
new western disturbance will be active from Saturday, which will bring icy winds and increase the cold further. Light to moderate fog is likely in Bhopal. In view of the cold in Gwalior district, a holiday has been declared on Saturday for children from KG-nursery to Class 8. However, examinations will go on as per the pre-scheduled schedule. Similarly, all Anganwadi centres will also remain closed. Children can come only for nutritional food, while other activities of Anganwadi workers and assistants will continue as normal.
